My Journey Gear List (Updated)

This is the gear that I use and have used on my journeys. Under each category | mark the gear that I use now with "(Current)" - I will update this once I start using something new. Gear in each category is chronologically logged, at the bottom is the thing I used first, preceded by what I used after. 

I do not include clothes as I do not put much thought into picking them - I go to an outdoor store and pick the shoes, sweaters, pants that I prefer. Most of the time it's Karrimor, Salomon, Regatta stuff as that is what the outdoor stores near me sell. I also do not include food (will make a separate post about that) or other things that depend on the specificity of the trip.

I am not endorsing any of these items. I had my trouble with everything on this list and I still am not satisfied with my choices. I am constantly looking to improve my setup. I went from cheap to expensive stuff as my channel grew, but I am still learning how to use and balance all this equipment. I buy more expensive stuff to compare and experiment because I can, but that does not mean all the cheaper stuff is worse. All depends on preferences and budget.
